I found Parker Dickson's twitter story about a bearded man robbing a bank to be very engaging. The first thing that I enjoyed about this story was that every piece of the plot was time-stamped. For example, at 8:13 am Parker delivers storyline, and then he jumps to 10:34 and delivers another part of the storyline, so on and so forth until 12:27 pm. It made the progression the the story much easier to follow chronologically. I feel that it also created an amplified sense of drama that accompanied his highly dramatic story. Another reason why I found this story to be engaging was because it the created drama, which kept you intrigued and entertained. The second thing that I really loved about this story was the detailed descriptions of both the setting and characters. It makes the events happening easier to picture in your head. Examples of these descriptions include "75 with blue skies but clouds on the horizon", "the bank buzzed", and "the bank teller went pale, all blood drained from her face", etc... My absolute favorite part of this story was how he tied it back in to the beginning by giving reasons for why certain characters acted how they did. Parker said the following: "In a matter of 4 hours 2 lives were lost. A single mother trying to support her kids and a father desperate to feed his own." This makes you re-think your original impressions of the characters. It leads you to gain a different perspective on their motivations. It could make you become more sympathetic towards the bank robber, as it did with me. It could also make you feel even more despondent over the death of the bank teller. This is because you picture in your head her kids, who are without a father, also losing their mother and you feel their sadness.
